Indus Towers celebrates #SafetyatWorkplace!

In the spirit of fostering a culture of safety excellence, Indus Towers Limited proudly joins the national community in commemorating Safety Month. Throughout this dedicated period, we reaffirmed our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our Employees, Customers, and Partners, recognizing that safety is not just a priority, but a core value ingrained in everything we do.

During this month-long journey, various activities and initiatives have been scheduled across the Indus with great enthusiasm. Leadership engagement and Customer engagement have also played a significant role in emphasizing positive safety.

Following are some highlights of our initiatives during National Safety Month 2024:

1. Employee Empowerment: Comprehensive training programs, Awareness rallies, etc. were scheduled to empower our workforce with the right set of knowledge, skills, and resources to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and prioritize safety in their day-to-day tasks. These initiatives cultivate a safety-conscious mindset that extends beyond the workplace.

Activities: Work at height training, First Aid & CPR training, Electrical safety training, Healthy Lifestyle- Kidney Health awareness training, Warehouse Safety Training, PTW Refresher, Fire Safety Training & Fire extinguisher demonstration, Civil work Safety, Road Safety awareness rallies, Workplace ergonomics training, Manual handling trainings etc.

2. Leadership Commitment: Our leadership team lead by example, as they demonstrate a steadfast dedication to safety at all levels of the organization. During Safety month, our Management committee, Circle CLT, Field Team Leads got engaged into several activities. By active leadership engagement, setting clear expectations, and extending support to the field team, leaders inspire trust and accountability, driving a collective commitment to safety excellence.

3. Continuous Improvement: We embrace a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging feedback, data, and lessons learned to refine our safety practices and procedures. Through regular audits, incident investigations, and proactive hazard assessments, we identify opportunities for enhancement and implement targeted interventions to prevent recurrence.

Activities: PTW checks, Earthing checks, Electrical inspections, PPE Inspection, Electrical hazard closure, ESH awareness cutout displays, Signage displays, Emergency contact displays, TBTs etc.

4. Community Engagement: Beyond our organizational boundaries, we extend our commitment to safety to the communities we serve. We conducted outreach programs and safety awareness campaigns in partnerships with local authorities as well as subject matter experts, contributing to the broader impact to promote the safety and well-being of all.

Activities: Family connects, Safety Quiz, Mass TBT & Spot quiz, Poster making/ Safety Essay competition for kids, Road Show, Seat belt and helmet inspections and rewards, Family Lunch, and well-being discussions, Sustainability initiatives with broader impact such as No Diesel filling day, No Printing day, Car-pooling day, tree plantation etc.? ?

5. Recognition and Celebration: As we mark this Safety Month, we also took time to recognize and celebrate achievements in safety excellence. Whether it's acknowledging individuals for their dedication to safety or highlighting successful initiatives that have made a positive impact, we honour those who embody our shared commitment to safety.

Activities: Safety Appreciation & Rewards, Spot prizes etc.

Active participation of all in National Safety month activities made them impactful, as well as strengthened our bond as a team.

We, at Indus, encourage everyone to carry forward the safety mindset beyond National Safety Month and rededicate ourselves to the foundational element of our organizational DNA.
