Indus Hospital & Health Network Celebrates the Launch of a State-of-the-Art Emergency Facility at Korangi Campus

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has proudly launched its new state-of-the-art Emergency Room (ER) at the Korangi Campus, marking a significant milestone in its mission to provide free, high-quality healthcare to the community. This inspiring event brought together IHHN’s founding members, senior leadership, and dedicated staff in a celebration of compassion, resilience, and commitment.

The event opened with heartfelt remarks and a prayer (dua) led by Dr. Amin Chinoy, Executive Director of the Physical Rehabilitation Directorate, setting a reverent tone for the operational launch of the new ER. Esteemed guests included IHHN’s founders: Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President; Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO; Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Director of Medical Services; founding board member Mr. Adnan Asdar; Mr. Shahab Akhtar, Chair of Emergency Services; Dr. Farah Bari, General Manager of Clinical Services; Dr. Ghazanfar Saleem, Head of Adult Emergency; Dr. Saima Ali, Head of Pediatric Emergency; Dr. Saba Laila; and Dr. Muhammad Fareeduddin, Head of Pediatrics.

In a smooth transition on the day of the launch, patients were successfully relocated from the old ER to the newly operational facility, where they expressed their appreciation for the advanced amenities and enhanced care resources. Previously serving 200,000 patients annually, the ER’s new facility now has the capacity to serve up to 500,000 patients each year, addressing the healthcare needs of Karachi’s rapidly growing population with enhanced efficiency and cutting-edge medical support.

Reflecting on IHHN’s transformative journey, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan and Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi shared the “Indus Moment,” emphasizing the enduring friendships and shared commitment that have driven IHHN’s growth. Their vision continues to inspire both staff and the wider community, setting new benchmarks in patient-centered care at the Korangi Campus.

This landmark achievement is a testament to the unwavering spirit of IHHN’s team and partners, reinforcing their commitment to equitable healthcare and underscoring IHHN’s enduring mission to serve those in need.
