Meanwhile, Bank Indonesia also predicts the same thing as the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, where e-commerce will generate a profit of Rp. 474 trillion. According to BI records, e-commerce transactions are predicted to grow by 2.8 percent to Rp. 487 trillion in 2024 and by 3.3 percent to Rp. 503 trillion in 2025.

The positive momentum of e-commerce was further underscored by the substantial contribution of Rp 25.7 trillion from Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) in the same year, signifying an increase of Rp 2.9 trillion compared to the previous year. To ensure the sustainable growth of e-commerce and its positive impact on the local economy, the Ministry of Trade has released two regulations aimed at supporting the growth of e-commerce in Indonesia.
