Individual Growth and Development – Is Success Final?

Global leadership in business enterprise, education, public policy, and philanthropy.
For Coaches, Mentors, Project Managers, Directors of Training and Parents, you understand that individual growth and development is never final. When achievement is realized, it takes commitment to maintain it and sustain it. The following is offered for your consideration.
INSIGHT: You are all in the same business and that is People Development. What are the essential areas of focus to help people realize their potential as they grow and develop as individuals and productive co-workers?
THE SITUATION: Success is never final — the path forward for individual growth and development is a continual work in process. Building confidence and developing skills for enhanced productivity when pursuing individual and collective goals and objectives requires preparation and practice related to self-awareness and social awareness.
Self-awareness addresses matters related to understanding about yourself including questions like who am I, what do I want to become, where am I, where am I going, and how am I to get there.
To find the answers to these questions requires an understanding of individual talent — what are you good at doing, what do you like doing, what comes naturally to you in the context of how you instinctively think, feel, and act. There is a simple route to getting to know the real you; science has shown a pathway through the Strengths-Based Coaching Program — check out the Talent Based Management website to learn more.
Social awareness addresses how to get along with others productively through a better understanding of talents and traits, yours and others. In order to engage and collaborate more effectively with others it is necessary to prepare and practice how to leverage your own talents and personality traits while aligning them with the complementary talents and traits of fellow workers or team mates. There is a simple and practical guide available. Check out the Talent Based Management workshop: “The I in Teamwork”.
