You remember 2014 published Nir Eyal's HOOKED. Literally a guide for how to build products that occupy your life, like forever? Hooked became a "must-have" inventory of all known and unknown online platforms, games, media outlets, financial services and of course social network conglomerates.

Cut and 5y later we are not only victims of being hooked in using social networks but programmed to stay hooked on, interact, invest our time and brain in making money for them and being totally unable to focus, resist, control, retrospect... And there he is, the same guy with new "must reader" Indistracteble: How to Control Your Attention and Chose Your Life. The title might sound a little bit self-help kinda seller but believe me it is not.

Great structured and going into deep research for helping us answer a) what is distracting us and knowing the difference between the traction and distraction for every moment of the day and b) how to Hack Back (Mails, Meetings, Group Chats, Smartphone...), to Timebox and prevent Distractions with different strategies and pacts.

This book is providing sub-structured introspective in three life domains (YOU/RELATIONSHIP/WORK) assuming that readers still have any connection with themselves or with loved ones. Which is, let us be honest, very optimistic assumption.

Be it compunction or pure commercial interest conceptually put in sequel "Hooked defeated" it is a great book to read and to learn from. BUT AS ANY ADDICTION IT IS MUCH EASIER TO BE HOOKED DAN TO GO CLEAN
