Indigenous Australians deserve Indigenous Constitutional Recognition

Disappointed the Government has rejected the Uluru statement 'From The Heart' and the Referendum Council's proposal for Indigenous Constitutional Recognition and to give Indigenous Australians a voice to the Parliament.

As I said in my speech to the Sydney Institute this week, our First Peoples deserve to be recognised in our Constitution. The Uluru statement From The Heart offers us a clear path toward genuine reconciliation and not mere symbolic gestures.
