India's Next Superstars Episode 13

This episode was aired on 24 Feb 2018 (Saturday) and the theme of this evening was ‘’bachpan special’’ (Childhood days). Child actors performed along with the contestants in this episode.

The episode started with two child actors [[Vansh Maheshwari]] (Ro Sir) and [[Nihaar Gite]] (KJo) sitting on the chairs of Shetty and Johar and mimicking them. They asked quite a few questions to the renowned directors pointing out the flaws in their films.

The contestants entered the show dancing on the popular song ‘’Swag se karenge sabka swagat’’ from [[Tiger Zinda Hai]] along with the participant kids.

In the first act of the evening, Gandotra played the role of Salim [[Jahangir]], and Bharadwaj played the role of [[Anarkali]]. The child actor [[Kartikey Raj]] played the role of Salim’s father [[Akbar]]. The comic timing of all the actors made the act great and the dance ‘’chod chad ke apne Salim ki gali, anarkali disco chali’’ added extra fun to the act. Shetty was very happy with the performance and stated that Gandotra involved the rest of the contestants and audience in this act. Both the judges agreed that he was the heart of the act. Gandotra scored a high nine and Bharadwaj scored perfect ten.

The second act the evening was presented by Taluja and Prajapati and the child actor who supported them was [[Twinkle Sharma]]. This sweet love story of guy next door was pretty much liked by all. Johar liked the improvement shown by Taluja, and Shetty mentioned that this was his best act so far. Taluja shared the story from his personal life, that he used to be a shy kid, and he was sent to an acting school by his parents so that he starts opening up. In the last episode, the judges had invited Taluja’s family, and his father graced the stage. He was thankful to both the directors for being a part of their family, and appreciating Taluja only for his hard work and talent. Taluja scored eight and Prajapati scored the same.

The boys performed on some popular Bollywood numbers and their improvement was evident. Mehrotra scored four, Gandotra scored three, Bagri scored four, Nanda scored four, Taluja scored four respectively. The hosts were very excited with the performance and said that it was outstanding. Johar said, ‘’the boys killed it.’’

Sonakshi Sinha came as a special guest and enjoyed a lot with the kids in the house. She entered the show with the kids as the kids wanted a royal entry in the show. Dhananjay welcomed the [[Dabangg]] famed actress with a shayari, ‘’Teri muskurahat mein agar noor na hota, to mera yeh dil majboor na hota, roz tere dar pe ate, kambakht bas tere dar pe khamosh ka board na hota’’ (I would have come to your house every day, if there wouldn’t have been a ‘’shut up’’ board on your door). Sonakshi also replied in a shayari and the audience loved this little leg pulling activity. She asked everyone to watch her movie ‘’Welcome to New York.’’

Sharma emoted the iconic [[Charlie Chaplin]] along with the child actor Arushi. The entire act was without any dialogues and the performance brought tears of joy in the eyes of the viewers. The judges and Sinha gave a standing ovation. Johar was very impressed with her performance and mentioned that after [[Sridevi]] in [[Mr. India (1987 Film)]] this was the finest performance given by a female actor donning the character of Chaplin. Shetty thanked the choreography and technical teams for coming up with this unique act. He mentioned that Chaplin is not about comedy alone, there is pathos in his acts and this act brought out that essence. Sharma thanked all the choreographers, and they were brought on the stage and respect was paid to them. She got a score of perfect ten.

The last performance of the day was given by Kapur and child artist Vansh. He was dressed up as little Krishna and Kapur was his disciple. Taluja played the role of her father. The judges were not impressed by Kapur’s performance and told her that her level of performance was declining. She got a low score of six which created her exit later.

All the kids got very good comments from the judges.
