The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has introduced new guidelines for #solarphotovoltaic modules produced through an agreement between an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and a brand owner to be enlisted under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). This comes after the implementation of the ALMM order for the financial year 2023-24 was put on hold by the government. As a result, solar projects commissioned by March 31, 2024, will be exempted from the requirement of procuring modules listed under ALMM.
SECI ( Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited ) is a government-owned company responsible for implementing the National Solar Mission and other #renewableenergy projects in India. In February 2023, SECI payments to wind and solar power generators increased by 9.58% compared to the previous month. However, compared to the same period last year, SECI payments have increased by 61.68%.Another factor could be changed in government policies and regulations, impacting the pricing and procurement of renewable energy.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has taken a significant step towards promoting the use of #renewableenergy by approving a proposal to procure renewable non-solar power. Delhi and Mumbai airports have received the highest level of 4+ Carbon Accreditation from the Airports Council International (ACI).
