Women users are especially condemned from using such platforms because it becomes the basis for her character judgement. In orthodox and backward households, mostly in rural India, talking to strangers has never quite been the idea that even young men were encouraged for, let alone women. Even though safety can be a genuine concern, most of the resistance arises from a false and incomplete idea regarding anonymous texting.

Even though, in the recent history, a positive change has been noticed in terms of the acceptance rate among the repelled consumers, the stereotype and the dogma associated with anonymous texting remains, as people are not quite past the age-old ideas of honour and respect associated with having association with simply any random stranger- as they might belong to a different religion, caste, class or even nationality.
