Across many sectors, companies are experimenting with metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as marketing tools to expand their digital presence.
?? Jewellery brand Tanishq launched its ‘Romance of Polki’ wedding collection in the metaverse, offering a 3D experience of the jewellery pieces.
?? Mahindra & Mahindra auctioned four Thar-themed NFTs for ?26 lakh. The NFT auction winners were offered an off-roader experience to drive the Thar.
?? Travel company?MakeMyTrip?launched Virtual Vacation NFTs of India’s best travel destinations for ?14,999 each.
?? Tyre manufacturer?CEAT Limited?is creating a Ceat Shoppe in the metaverse, which integrates with their e-commerce platform. It will offer customers options to get tyre delivery and fitment at home or pick-up from physical stores.
?? Automobile company MG Motor India plans to launch 1,111 NFTs starting at ?500 under four themes- collaborative art, community and diversity, car-as-a platform and collectibles. It wants MG fans to own a piece of the company through NFTs.
