Indian Army Showcases Groundbreaking Innovations at Inno-Yoddha 2024-25
Innovation and adaptability have always been critical components of a modern military force. This ethos was on full display at the Indian Army's annual Inno-Yoddha 2024-25 competition, held at the prestigious Manekshaw Centre, where 22 exceptional innovations were showcased.
This year, the competition, presided over by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, highlighted the army’s commitment to fostering operational efficiency, logistics, and training capabilities. These innovations were selected through a rigorous evaluation process from a pool of 75 entries, submitted by soldiers across units and Command Headquarters.
The showcased innovations, now set to enter production under the Army Design Bureau's guidance, exemplify the Indian Army’s pursuit of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. General Dwivedi praised the participating soldiers, stating, "Innovation is not just a word, it is a mindset. It is the spark that drives progress and shapes the future."
Over the past four years, Inno-Yoddha has achieved remarkable milestones, including the filing of 26 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and the completion of 21 innovations. Noteworthy achievements include technology transfers of three key innovations to private industry, such as the Exploder by FC Tech and Agniastra by Red Kite Digital Tech, both launched in 2024.
This initiative underscores the Indian Army’s dedication to bridging operational gaps and cultivating a culture of creativity and ingenuity within its ranks. By empowering its soldiers to think critically and innovate, the Indian Army is setting a benchmark for self-reliance and progress.
These remarkable achievements reflect how innovation is shaping the future of defense in India and beyond. Let us celebrate the ingenuity of our soldiers as they lead us into a new era of capability and resilience.
