India transcends 10GW solar PV installation

Cumulative Solar PV installed capacity in India has surpassed 10GW with a growth of 3 fold from ~ 3GW in 2015.

As per power ministry website installed capacity till Feb'17 was at 9,567MW. A short fall of ~ 2.5 GW to target capacity ~ 5 GW in 2016-17 financial year target has been noticed, India plans to add 10GW new installation in FY 2017-18 and 100GW by 2022.
