INDIA TALKS - CHINA WALKS
Sitting in a busisness lounge on way back home from training's, I happened to notice the many Chinese present in the lounge far outnumbering all other nationalities.
Looking around a thought passed by my ever enquiring mind. I was foreseeing the " RISE of China". Is it True!
So bingo.... I find myself writing this article which is thought provoking for all those Indians who pretend to be nationalist but actually portray nationalism as a temporary cause for temporary benefits. ( Look I dont intend to discredit Indians and this post is not at all political)
Being born and brought up in India and having completed my schooling from prestigious bodies I learnt in geography that India boasts of loads of natural wealth. Resources are classified as either biotic or abiotic on the basis of their origin. The Indian landmass contains a multitude of both types of resource and its economy, especially in rural areas, is heavily dependent on their consumption or export. Due to overconsumption, they are rapidly being depleted.
A point that may be countered that China has a much larger population than India. So how come their resources are not being depleted. How come China is Rising in all hemispheres be it Financial, Agriculture, Medicine, AI, Robotics, Engineering etc.
The answer is simple..... China Believes in .....'Walking The Talk'.
While India and Indians are debating on caste, religion and other anti-nationalist issues and politicians busy only in fighting to reserve their standings the Poorer in India are becoming More Poorer.
India is endowed with a rich variety of minerals. “The mineral wealth of India, though by no means inexhaustible, is varied enough to provide for sound economic and industrial development of the country but has at the same time, certain important deficiencies.
Nationalism is just a word in India and for many Indians. The blood of Indian Jawans and welfare of the population is nobody's interest. They just play a Bugle and Forget the pain that the family of the bereaved goes thru. Words - Words & only Words.
This decade will belong to China. Even though they are fighting against the West & all odds, today Chinese economy is more than twice as big as it was in 2010.
Unsuprisingly the Indians and the West is finding the phenomenon difficult to understand. Today the Cold War is not between US & USSR - But it is between US & China.
The story keeps moving. perhaps the starkest demonstration of China's growing influence has been the 'Belt & Road' initiative. China is no fool to finance large infrastructure projects in countries beyond its borders. The ambition is no less than transformation of the Eurasian landmass. The Belt & Road initiative and its taking over of Sea Ports in Sri Lanka and building infrastructure in Pakistan can be seen as the embryo of the new order - Supply Chain at its core.
This decade is going to witness a continuing fragmentation of the western-centric international system, together with the growing influence of Chinese oriented institutions. A point that I can prove with the re-emergence of Chinese medicine and its growing popularity. The Indians will need to think and think harder- they had the best of Ayurveda and Homeopathy ( the alternate medicine to pharma drugs). But they were not able to patent them nor take it to new levels across the globe for the benefit of mankind.
So Wake Up India !
Words and Selling Dreams to the populace is not enough. You will have to STOP celebrating small wins and focus on a Long Term Winning Strategy. Dining & Wining Celebrities' is not going to help. India will have to embrace the truth & reality-Political parties will have to mature. Constructive debates will have to be encouraged and only then a new dawn will arise.
After all Resources will 'Vanish' from the face of Mother Earth and if it keeps depleting while the population keep growing and growing old living longer - We will come to a reality where there will be "No water to drink and No pure air to breathe".
Note from the writer: This is only a thought provoking article and means no offence to any person, religion, nationality or country. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 年I have done a case study on China's supply chain policy on last year. It' very clear that, they simply executing their plans or decisions without any objection. Here in case of India, due to political and unpolitical reasons, still we are not even able to execute the projects inside the country well! So first of all, we need to clear the issue within the country. I mean a well established Infrastructure needed before everything! So let's "accept" china first. Our patriotism is not going anywhere!

4 年As a Chinese, live in this rapid growth country is really a happy thing, but each coin have two sides, maybe pollution is the opposite as you said in this article. We need a balance between growth and pollution, our government are trying best to fix the environment. I sincerely hope India can handle those problems properly. Not only focus on the growth of economy, but also focus of the future.?
