Before talking about the importance of De-Dollarization, we need to understand Why DE-DOLLARIZATION happening all over the world.
De-dollarization is growing all over the world for several reasons.
- One of the primary reasons is the increasing concerns about the dominance of the US dollar in the #global #financialsystem. Many countries, particularly those in the developing world, feel that they are excessively dependent on the US dollar.
- USA using the Dollar as a weapon or blackmailing poor & and developing nations. Only God knows when the US government will ban or kick any country out of the SWIFT international payment System. like they have done with Russia.
- Rising Interest rates or high #inflation in Western countries create lots of local currency fluctuations.
Now comes the important part of this post
- #geopoliticalrisk: Reducing reliance on the USD can help #india assert their independence and reduce vulnerability to potential #economic #sanctions or #political pressure from the United States.
- Currency risk #diversification: Holding a diverse basket of currencies can help mitigate risks associated with a single currency's fluctuations. By reducing the dominance of the USD in their reserves, India-like countries can minimize the impact of USD exchange rate volatility on their economies.
- Trade diversification: De-dollarization can be motivated by the desire to increase trade and investment flows in local currencies or alternative currencies. This can facilitate bilateral trade agreements and promote economic relationships with countries outside the USD-dominated system.
- Promoting regional integration: Some regional initiatives, such as the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) grouping, have expressed interest in exploring alternative currency arrangements to promote regional trade and reduce dependency on the USD.
- UPI will Replace the Swift payment system: UPI may not replace SWIFT entirely, but it could serve as a complementary system for low-value transactions all over the world. As the technology and infrastructure of UPI continue to evolve, it may be able to facilitate more complex transactions and replace other global payment systems in the future.
At the end, I want to say
???????? ????-?????????????????????????? ?????????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ?????? ???????????????? ?? ?????????????????????? ???????????? ???? ???????? ?????? ????????????, as the US dollar is deeply entrenched in the global financial system. Many Countries are exploring alternatives to reduce their dependence on the US dollar.
