will india pick a side in the ongoing cold war ??
In every major clashes between the countriesin the world in the past India was the country who has never taken a side's.This has happend majorly because India was not an independent country at time of world war 1 and world war 2. But also after the independence of India in 1947 where the worlds geo politicall tensions was at its peak during the cold war which was followed by the second world war even when India was a independent country, India has chose not to take any side by supporting a single group of countries insted tried to build a very good relations between the two super powers USA and Russia .
But after the more than 7 decades of Independent India the challenges faced by India are far different and more complex than the past . since India's independence it is one of the nuclear country among the some countries in the world and the second largest economy of Asia, India has become a key policy maker for the development of the world .India has built a modern economy (second fastest growing economy), remained a democracy, lifted millions out of poverty, has become a space and nuclear power and developed?a robust foreign policy.
During the pandemic India being the worlds pharmacy India has supplied the covid-19 vaccines to more than 95 countries. It has also been the country with the biggest heart: lifting its ban on exports of the drug HCQ, when there was demand for it, sending medical teams to countries in the neighbourhood, and then for its massive Vaccine maitri programme?, under which India exported more than 66 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 95 countries worldwide. Of these about 10 million were grants from the government, 20 million were sent as part of the global COVAX facility, and the rest 36 million were commercial exports.??
Few other countries have done as much: China has exported 80 million doses to about 60 countries, but only after it managed its own internal COVID-19 crisis. The European Union (EU) has exported 113.5 million doses to 43 countries, but the EU alone is made up of 27 countries.

Along the years India has set its diplomacy efforts at its all time high by showing what india can do by joining multiple multilateral organizations like QUAD, BRICKS,SCO etc. India has also improved its bilateral cooperations with every major powers of the world in various sectors.
But amid growing tensions between USA and The communist ruling China which has created a new trade war between the countries because of various aspects like wuhan virus, agressive behaviour by china in south china and indo pacific and the growing concerns about the human rights voilations in the xinjiang province in china ,the focus world leaders has been shifted to the Asia .
As India is asia's second largest growing economy ,and the stand off with China in LAC it has made india obivous to pick a side in the new trade war between the two countries. But India has not taken a clear stand againist China in the trade war but it has shown china and world that India would do what ever it has to be done to contain China.India has also shown that it would not be quite when the future of the world stability is at stake.
