The contract for 70 basic trainers for the Indian Air Force (IAF) is expected to be finalized soon, sources confirmed to Financial Express Online on the sidelines of the ongoing DefExpo 2022.
Govt’s diwali gift for farmers; MSP for rabi crops hiked; wheat up Rs 110, mustard Rs 400 per quintal
The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved a hike in the Minimum Support Price for Rabi Crops, including wheat and mustard. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister?Narendra Modi, hiked the MSP for wheat by Rs 110 per quintal and MSP for mustard by Rs 400 per quintal, for the RMS (rabi marketing season), 2023-24. The government increased the MSP for lentils by Rs 500, the highest among all crops. The hikes in the MSP for wheat and mustard has witnessed a two fold increase in the returns on cost of production, according to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur.
HDFC may be excluded from Nifty 50 by Dec-end; these stocks front-runners to replace mortgage lender
The National Stock Exchange may exclude?Housing Development Finance Corporation?(HDFC) from the NSE Nifty 50 index in the next few weeks as the HDFC and?HDFC Bank?merger looks likely to be completed a few months earlier than expected, according to analysts. Adhesive maker Pidilite Industries is among the front-runners to replace HDFC in the 50-share index. “The (HDFC) stock could be then excluded from all of the Nifty Indices earliest by end of December 2022 or max by middle of January 2023,” said Abhilash Pagaria, head of alternative and quantitative research at Nuvama Wealth Management. The housing finance company with a 5.5% weight in the Nifty could see an outflow of around $1.3-1.5 billion from the passive funds once it’s excluded from the benchmark.
