India First Tech Startup Conclave and Awards 2023: Celebrating the Success of India's Top Tech Startups

The India First Tech Startup Conclave and Awards 2023, also known as "Startup ka mahakumbh," was a resounding success, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators to celebrate the achievements of India's top tech startups. The event, organized by the All-India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA) and hosted by the United Services Institution of India in New Delhi on April 25-26, 2023, featured a diverse range of activities including discussions on startup topics, tech accomplishment showcases, startup workshops, industry roundtable meetings, and inputs submission with various steering committees.

Inaugurated by Hon'ble Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, the event drew distinguished guests such as Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhaduria (Rtd) PVSM AVSM VM ADC (Nodal Officer - Défense Corridor, UPEIDA), Major General Sanjeev Sharma, ADG Signals Directorate, Lt. General Sanjay Sethi (Director General - Info Systems), and Shri Rajesh Pathak (Secretary - TDB, Government of India).


The event also hosted two national roundtable conferences on Agritech and Drones, which brought together industry experts and stakeholders to share their experiences and insights. The Drone National Roundtable Conference (DNRC) 2023 was the first meeting to form an industry-led body that would serve as a bridge between the drone industry and the government. Members from drone manufacturing, academia, the Ministry of Defense, the Centre of Air Power Studies (CAPS), the Directorate of Aerospace Design, DRDO, and DGFT participated in the conference. The committee's key focus will be to revamp the current policy regarding commercial and civil drone usage, as well as import and export-related policies, in order to build the perfect ecosystem and make India a drone and aerospace ready nation.

The AgriTech National Roundtable Conference (ANRC) 2023 addressed various aspects of agriculture with the aim of enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving productivity through the involvement of Agritech Sector. Mechanization can reduce labor costs and make farming more efficient. Data-driven crop monitoring and precision farming can optimize the use of inputs and increase yields. Tech-enabled aggregation and distribution of farm produce can improve market access and increase profitability. Quality assaying of agricultural commodities can ensure that farmers get a fair price for their products.


The highlight of the event was AICRA's 100Cr. Seed Fund plan for startups, which provided a platform for startups to pitch their ideas and innovations to investors for funding. Later in the award ceremony, 38 innovative startups from different categories were recognized and appreciated for their contributions to the tech industry.

AICRA's President, Mr. Rajkumar Sharma, expressed his delight with the event's success and its impact on the vibrancy and potential of India's tech startup ecosystem. The India First Tech Startup Conclave and Awards 2023 demonstrated the potential of India's tech startup ecosystem and AICRA's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. This type of initiative is required on a regular basis for the growth of traditional farming in India, and AICRA will continue its efforts in this direction.
