#India has committed to achieving its #netzero emission goal by 2070. In Tuesday’s Economic Survey, Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister, stated that India has achieved 40% of its installed #electricity capacity from non-fossil fuels before the 2030 goal. By 2030, the country’s likely installed capacity from non-fossil fuels will be greater than 500 GW. This would result in a decrease of 29% in average emissions rate by 2029-30, as compared to 2014-15.A close to 125 GW increase in #renewableenergy capacity would result in a reduction of almost 50 million metric tons of annual #greenhousegas emissions.
亚马逊 announced that in 2022 it grew its #renewableenergy capacity by 8.3 gigawatts (GW) through 133 new projects in 11 countries. This brings Amazon’s total portfolio to more than 20 GW—that could generate the amount of #energy to power 5.3 million U.S. homes—across 401 renewable energy projects in 22 countries. The company’s renewable energy purchases continue to add new #wind and #solarprojects on the grids that power Amazon’s operations, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers, Amazon fulfillment centers, and physical stores around the world.
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India Private Limited (STT GDC India) announced a partnership with O2 RENEWABLES Energy (IV) Private Limited, a subsidiary of O2 Energy SG Pte.
