India Celebrates International MSME Day 2024

MSME day is celebrated worldwide on June 27 to recognise the contribution of MSMEs across the world. There are more than 63 million MSMEs in India, contributing to 30 percent of India's GDP.

To mark MSME Day 2024, India launched the ?277.35 crore TEAM scheme to boost MSME presence on ONDC. The scheme aims to empower 5 lakh MSEs, with 50% being women-owned, offering logistics subsidies up to ?50 per order for B2C and ?200 per order for B2B.?

Simultaneously, the Yashasvini campaign targets 1 lakh women entrepreneurs in smaller cities, emphasizing skill development. The Ministry plans 150 e-commerce workshops in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities, and MSME clusters to enhance digital skills and promote TEAM scheme and ONDC onboarding.

These initiatives are expected to foster both MSME and logistic sector in India!
