Ambassador José Marcondes de Carvalho, Undersecretary of Environment, Energy, Science and Technology of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the Brazilian delegation.
In the Biomass session, I had the opportunity to share the Brazilian experience in large-scale Biomass production, including the potential of Energy Cane as a key Energy Crop for sustainable and competitive Biofuels production, for both Bio-chemical and Thermochemical conversion technologies.
This energy crop has a large potential of sustainable and low cost utilization in the existing Sugar + Ethanol + Power; Distributed Power and Ethanol production; 2G Ethanol projects; BTL and our current project development of Pyoil + Ethanol production for co-processing in Petroleum Refineries.
