Indescribable gift
Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts. God’s Christmas gift to us has four qualities that make it unique. First, it is the most precious and priceless gift we’ll ever receive. Jesus paid for it with his life.
Second, it’s an indescribable and perfect gift for our salvation.
Third, it’s the timeless and only gift we’ll ever receive that will last forever.
Finally, it is an extremely practical gift – one we’ll use every day for the rest of our life.
Jesus' birth was the incarnation of God on earth, opening the door to new hope and eternal life. Nobody has changed the world the way Jesus has. He was not a man who became God, which is impossible, but God who became a man. So why did Jesus come to earth as God in human form? C. S. Lewis said it well: "The Son of God became a man that men might become sons of God." God became a man so that you might become God's child. Now that is true Christmas and something worth celebrating.
This is why Jesus Christ is not to be prominent in our lives; He is to be pre-eminent. Christ was born in the first century, yet he belongs to all centuries. He was born a Jew, yet He belongs to all races. He was born in Bethlehem, yet He belongs to all countries. The best way to celebrate Christmas is to gratefully receive this priceless, precious, perfect and personal gift from God. It means to invite Christ, God incarnates, into our lives and our hearts.
The star of Bethlehem was a star of hope that led the wise men to the fulfillment of their expectations, the success of their expedition. Nothing in this world is more fundamental for success in life than obedience to the principles of God with faith, love and hope, and this star pointed to our only source for true hope: “Jesus Christ.” Christmas began in the heart of God. It is only complete when it reaches the heart of man. Christmas is the beginning of a classic true story with all the right Ingredients- love, joy, peace, hope, salvation, reconciliation and goodwill. However, if we are to make the occasion complete, it must be a season of offering thanks and worship, contemplation and proclamation.
Jesus Christ is absolutely perfect in every respect to redeem us. He was perfect in His pre-incarnate state - - before He ever took on a human body. He was perfect in His virgin birth. He was perfect in His sinless life. He was perfect in His atoning death at Calvary. He was perfect In His resurrection. He is now perfect in intercession for us in heaven, and He will be perfect in His second coming for us in the rapture and in ruling this earth in righteousness forevermore.
Mahatma Gandhi said: “The gentle figure of Christ, so patient, so kind, so loving, so full of forgiveness that he taught his followers not to retaliate when abused or struck but to turn the other cheek – it was a beautiful example, I thought, of the perfect man.” Let this day be a day of contemplation Let us turn within, recognize our inadequacy. Let us sink down all differences and stand together in all loving devotion for the Master to fulfill his great commission. Let us purge our souls and cleanse our hearts, for unless we are pure, we cannot see the Kingdom of God, much less enter into it.
The true meaning of Christmas is not about man-loving man-- The true meaning of Christmas is about God-loving man. It is about God giving the most amazing and spectacular gift to reconcile the world. We must remember the cause for which Jesus was born and for which He sacrificed His life, and remembering it, we must live by it ourselves for if we love Him, we must follow His Commandments.
Regardless of our background, religion, problems, or circumstances, Christmas really is the best news and most expensive gifts you could ever get. Beneath all the visible sights and sounds of Christmas are some simple yet profound truths that can transform your life for the better here on earth and for forever in eternity. Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9:15 “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift” The above verse is about giving thanks to God for His gifts to us. It begins with Thanksgiving and ends with Christmas. When Paul speaks of the gift God gave us when He gave His Son, he says “Jesus is a gift so good, so great, so wonderful that He really can’t be described.” Jesus is beautiful beyond any description. No words can compare how much. . He offered everything just to make us free from the bondage of sin. Jesus Christ, the Gift beyond Description. The gift is indescribable not only because of who Jesus is, but also because of what He has done.
The true spirit of Christmas reflects in dedication to helping those in need, giving hope to those in despair, and to spreading peace and love throughout the Earth. We do this by renouncing violence and hatred, greed and selfishness and all the evil intentions and motives in our hearts and minds. Let us celebrate this Christmas praying and doing all we can to promote love, peace, and goodwill among all people on earth. Let us give our resources to help the poor, the homeless and the voiceless. That is what Christ did. Then we will experience the joy of giving that is at the heart of Christmas.
May the grace of Christmas, Blessings of Peace, the Beauty of Hope, the Spirit of Love, and the Comfort of Faith be your gifts this Christmas Season.
WE WISH you A VERY BLESSED Christmas and Happy New Year.
Yours in His Joyful ministry
