Last year, I was part of Rahbar's core committee and was responsible for revision of the content too. As we revised the content, we made 'Gratitude' or 'Tashakkur' as one of the pillars of the program.
As I started reading further on it, the importance of gratitude was not only proven by the Quran itself, but surprisingly the Western productivity and life coaches. There is an Ayah in Quran that mentions" "Agar tum Shukar karoge to main tumhe zyada dunga" 14:7.
As I started observing this phenomenon, I discovered that most of the people around already had a significant portion of Tashakkur in them. Despite of the adversity that we all face, most of the people residing here are generally thankful for what they've blessed with. No wonder, Pakistan scored significantly well at the position of 66 against 144 of India in the Happiness Index.
As I posted yesterday, one example of gratitude is to share your blessings with other either through sharing time or money. Also, as shared by Fahad, despite of the tough life we have here, the pace of life isn't as fast that allows us to think and contemplate our life priorities and hence better clarity of thoughts.
So, our second last takeway is we should feel blessed to be surrounded by grateful people around. Thank you.
