Independence in National Energy.
Independence in National Energy.
On Tuesday, February 21st 2017 in front of the Senate of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) at the UMM Dome, Ignatius Jonan, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) said that, “long time ago, when I came to the MEMR, I thought Freeport (FP) is an Elephant, but now the fact is it’s merely a cow!” He asked FP to act rationally and proportionally pertaining to the alteration of the regulation from the “Work-Contract” into the Business License for Special Mining (BLSM). He also added that the truth is the value of capitalization of FP is only US$ 20 billions and its lower even than our State Enterprises (BUMN) such as PT Bank Central Asia valued at US$ 29 billions, PT Telkom Indonesia valued at US$ 25 billions, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia valued at US$ 21 billions. He continuously explained that for 25 years (a quarter century), FP gives even the lowest contribution to our country which is only a trillion Rupiahs compare to TKI (Indonesian Work Force) who gives significant contribution at the average of more than 144 trillion Rupiahs per-annum. Looking at this description, Indonesia has nothing to lose if FP threatening us want to bring this case into International Court. Why? Numerous MNC in Mining and Energy will replace FP in a matter of seconds. In the near future, Indonesians should gradually followed the policy that issued by former Energetic Venezuela President, Hugo “El-Commandante” Chavez and Charismatic Iranian President Mahmud “the Nuclear Man” Ahmadinejad as a “very good model” in nationalizing all of the Energy Resources run by the foreign companies into the local or domestic mining companies for the benefit of our people, the Indonesians, especially the Papuans who received no prosperity from FP. It’s never too late to start our independency in national energy because now we have adequate resources in terms of skillful workforces, wealthy natural resources and the high spirit of our people who want to have dignity and sovereignty in our own lands processing our own natural resources for the benefit of our beloved people. ALL OF US MUST WAKE UP, STAND TALL, AND DO SOME ACTIONS! We want to cooperate with foreign mining company under equal MOU that give us fair share and send prosperity to all of our people, the Beloved Indonesians. If they don’t want follow our terms and conditions, they better leave our country, immediately. ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH!! WE’RE NOT AFRAID OF ANY EMPTY THREATS!!!!
