The South African Business Conference, hosted by SEDA, in partnership with the Department of Small Business Development culminated in a Gala Awards Dinner that was attended by The Honourable Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu, Members of Parliament and visiting dignitaries from neighbouring SADC countries.
The awards evening was aimed at acknowledging and encouraging best practice in the enterprise development space in the incubation ecosystem.
SmartXchange was declared "Incubator of the Year" receiving an award that recognised its commitment to innovation, good business practices, sustainability and sound governance; notwithstanding its efforts toward embracing the 4th Industrial Revolution and encouraging new industry trends in the age of disruption and digitisation.
