Be Incredible, Help Baby Stella
The image attached to this post is why I'm writing it. My friend Blair and his wife's baby girl was born at 1 pound, 1 ounce. She is alive, she is fighting. It is something I can't fathom, something that I direct all my positive thoughts at, and what I'd like to put out to the world to bring positive energy towards.

Now this isn't just a random story to me, I'm personally attached to it. I strongly believe we are created by our environment, yet we still create ourselves. I have been very blessed thru my life to have incredible people that surround me. Some of the most incredible people are those that I encountered early on. To give you some context, I come from a small rural town in North Carolina. Opportunities are small, life is simple, and people are genuine. On the flip of that, the place doesn't make the person. Some of the most incredible people are hidden in the smaller walks of life.
My friend Blair is an example of that. He has always been an incredibly talented person. Whether he was skateboarding, snowboarding, or jumping into the cycling circuit, the guy is a pure natural at what he does.
Regardless of his talents, he is one of the most modest and upbeat people I've ever met. He lights up rooms and you can't say a bad word about the guy. Blair has always been someone I admired just for who he is and less for what he can do. Something he said to me once that has always stuck in my head was that it didn't matter where you were, where you came from, or what lay in front of you, if you believe in your mind you can do something, you can do anything you want. That mindset has enabled me to breakdown all boundaries in my life. To that I owe him everything. Blair is an incredible soul.
Unfortunately, sometimes the best people in the world are faced with some of the hardest hurdles in life. Maybe it is because they are the ones that can overcome them and make everyone around them better. That doesn't make those circumstances any easier. I can't even begin to imagine what he is going thru right now, but I know thru everything Blair is smiling and a beacon of positivity.
This may seem like an odd post on LinkedIn, but what is this site but another way to connect and change people's lives. Yes, it may be in the context of giving them new jobs, but we can make it more than that. Help me, help others.
Please find it in your heart to help a wonderful person and his family. Share their story, contribute, send good thoughts, whatever you want, just create positivity. Positive energy no matter what form it is in has more effect that you and I will ever know. Let's be incredible for the incredible little Stella and her incredible parents. Help one soul and you help the entire world ;).
