Increase Your Revenue and Brand Awareness
How would you like to increase your revenue and sales without having to race to the bottom in a price war? Do you have something that makes your product or service unique compare to your competition? If you do great you are now one step ahead.
Does your potential customers now about your competitive advantage? If they don’t then we need to do some work on your branding and promotion mix. Here are four steps you can take that will lead to increase awareness of your special sauce.
1. Write a blog:
By taking the time to write about your products, services you begin sharing your story. This will help you in defining the reason why your potential customers will want to buy from you rather than your competition. This will also allow you to build some authority and increase SEO for your website.
When you continue to blog on a regular basis it will also increase the chance that someone will stumble upon your writing and investigate your company. The best part about this step it is relatively low cost and has some big advantages.

2. Get media coverage for your brand:
To earn the coverage or love your brand deserves you will need to answer this vital and simple question. Why would the individual watching or reading from home care to read or watch your story? If you can come up with a compelling answer this is the headline you will want to pitch to outlets and producers. Here is an article to find out if you have a newsworthy brand.
When looking for ways to grow your business don’t overlook your local media networks. When it comes to consumer trust individuals trust their local media outlets over the national glomerates. Not only do consumers trust their local stations and papers more, they are more likely to build a long-term relationship with your brand. There is always a chance that the story can grow legs and grow into a national story. Here is an article that describes how you can get local coverage.
3. Social Media
With the increase of smartphones and the ever-increasing mobile nature of our daily lives, individuals are spending more time online. According to BrandWatch, there are 2.7 Billion active social media users. That is roughly 1/3 of the worldwide population. This opens a strategic opportunity for business owners and brand managers.
Those who are on Social Media are looking for opportunities to engage and become a part of a community. Smart brands are beginning to engage these individuals and develop a relationship with them. Those who learn the fine art of interacting with followers of their accounts and treat them as individuals with feelings who need to feel acceptance and appreciation are experiencing explosive growth.
This does not need to take up a lot of time. Here is an article on how to create effective posts and engagement with 15 minutes a day.
4. Story Teller:
Here is what you should look for when you are hiring your brand ambassador, influencers or ultimately the story teller of your brand. First, they should reflect the values and feel of your brand completely. If you want an edgy feel for your voice do not hire a stuffed suit. If you would like a sophisticated feel do not hire someone who does not understand how to eat in a fine dining establishment.
Additionally, look at the candidate’s background and skill set. Do they understand the basics of marketing? Do they complement your sales and marketing team? Do not do what the Eagles did with the hiring and firing of Chip Kelly. If you are going to bring someone on to make a radical change allow them the resources and ability to make those changes.
Finally, I would recommend hiring someone who loyal to your brand and company. Hopefully this individual is a frequent user of your brand. They should be bought in to your story. The last thing you want is a storyteller who is half-hearted in their work.
