Increase of 2.5% in Turkey's exports in the first three months of 2023.
According to the data from the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM), despite the devastating earthquakes in southeastern Turkey, the country's exports have reached $61.6 billion with a 2.5% increase in the first three months of this year.
This is the highest level of Turkey's exports in the January to March period ever.
Based on the aforementioned data, the highest amount of exports worth $24.4 billion was carried out from Istanbul, which accounts for 45% of the total exports in this period.
After Istanbul, the highest volume of exports were made from the provinces of Bursa, Izmir, Ankara, Gaziantep, and Sakarya in that order.
In the first three months of this year, the amount of exports from 9 provinces of the country exceeded $1 billion and exports from 28 cities went beyond $100 million.
