The budget bill congress passed last night put in place significant changes to the rules and forms for 2017 returns. In mid February 2018 they changed the rules for 2017 tax returns!!!

We now have to go back and see what returns we have already filed for clients will be affected by this bill. The IRS is going to have to stop processing returns and reprogram their computers and revise the 2017 forms. Who knows how long that will take????

Are there any adults working in Washington DC right now????
