In a world that's constantly on the move, we often forget the power of a single step, the significance of a simple walk. But what if that walk had the potential to change our perspectives, build lasting connections, and foster empathy among us? Welcome to the Inclusive Walkathon, an extraordinary initiative that transcends the ordinary, where every stride is a step towards a brighter, more inclusive future.
?Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges
?Organised in association with Purple Fest, India's pioneering inclusive international festival that celebrates Persons with Disabilities (PwD), National HRD Network’s Diversity and Inclusive Walkathon is much more than a walk; it's a journey of understanding and compassion. This event is not just about covering a specific distance; it's about bridging gaps, breaking stereotypes, and building lasting bonds.
The Power of Pairing
At the heart of the Inclusive Walkathon lies a beautiful concept: pairing. Each non-PwD participant is paired with a PwD for a walk of either 1 kilometre or a maximum of 40 minutes, depending on their preference. But it's not just about the physical act of walking; it's about walking together in conversation.
