#INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

"A leader is one who builds more leaders through vision, Inspiration & Inclusiveness."

I am full of beans to express my gratitude towards Dr. Shirley Davis and Mary-Frances Winters for acquainting me with "Inclusiveness." Since childhood, we all have attended our school assembly and recited the same pledge till we passed out. It emphasizes a lot on diversity, equality, & equity. So we might think that this is what we all know. This 'Knowing it all' attitude stops most of us, from embracing those things and incorporating them into our daily routine.

This is what, I recently realized how important it is for a leader to be neutral, and to have multidimensional aspects towards things, and people working in the organization! If you want your company to prosper and grow financially, globally, and holistically then employees should be treated as individual persons rather than treating everyone the same.

Nowadays, many companies are coming forward to give job opportunities to specially-abled people and thus in such scenarios, we need to treat the person individually keeping in mind that one size does not fit all.

The more these things are taken care of more enthusiasm and energy will reflect in the work of employees. Not only this but having diversity in the organization helps the organization grow holistically as more and more innovative ideas come from people having diverse backgrounds.

But along with this we also need to introspect whether everyone sitting across the table has an equal say in the room or not. If not. Then how we can become an ally and uplift their voices is what we need to focus on similar to Mr. McCarthyism from the '12 Angry Men' so that we can maintain the inclusive atmosphere in the organization.

From 12 Angry Men: Allyship

Not only Allyship but understanding the cultural norms of the people working for the organization without any kind of prejudices and stereotypes related to cultural communities, gender, and race need to be considered to maintain a healthy atmosphere.

All of these things are quite simple and every well-aware person understands them but the question is not of mere awareness or understanding but also of Implementation of it in daily life which is still a missing piece in most of the organization.

Thus what we plant is what will be reaped and so plant the seed of peace, harmony, inclusiveness, and equity embrace it and success will embrace you!
