Inauguration of Embedded C Laboratories: From Theory to Employment

On January 21, 2024, the inauguration of the Embedded C laboratories took place at the Polytechnic College of B?l?i, marking a significant milestone for technical education in the Republic of Moldova.

”The Embedded C laboratories were established thanks to a strong partnership between Moldova Electronics Association ACEM , BSW TECH SRL—a local company specializing in embedded systems programming for the automotive industry—and three technical educational institutions: the Polytechnic College of B?l?i, the Center of Excellence in Energetics and Electronics, and the Technical University of Moldova College”, noted Elena Maevski , Executive Director of ACEM.

These educational institutions have benefited from state-of-the-art equipment and educational resources tailored to current labour market requirements, thus contributing to the development of skills in embedded programming and electronics.

The new laboratories provide unique opportunities for:

  • Developing students' practical skills in a professional environment;
  • Strengthening the connection between the educational system and current industry demands;
  • Promoting new competencies in the embedded field.

Gheorghe Ghirjev , CEO and Founder of BSW Tech SRL, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and educational institutions, remarking: "This project is an investment in the future of Moldovan youth, providing them with the tools necessary to become top specialists in the embedded field."

Additionally, Simone Di Stefano , Deputy Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office, remarked: "Through this project, we aim to support technical education and create new opportunities for the integration of graduates into Moldova’s labour market."

"Projects like this not only improve educational infrastructure but also bridge the gap between education and industry, giving students the chance to connect directly with the real demands of the labour market," said Liudmila Crai?man, Deputy Director of the Polytechnic College of B?l?i. Through these laboratories, young people will be able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical projects, thus preparing them for professional challenges in the technological field.

The inauguration of the Embedded C laboratories represents a significant step in preparing the new generation of embedded sector professionals. The project demonstrates how collaboration between educational institutions, the private sector, and international organizations can positively impact the development of the national education system.

This project was developed with the support of the "Strong Businesses and Communities for Moldova" project, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Swiss Government, implemented by GIZ Moldova .
