Inaugural Women’s Network Event at Lanes Group plc: "Women at Lanes"

At Lanes Group plc we are proud to announce the successful launch of our first-ever Women’s Network event, "Women at Lanes."

This milestone event marks the beginning of a dedicated effort to support and empower women within our organisation.

Held in early July, the pilot event brought together a select group of representatives from each of our diverse business units, setting the stage for many more such gatherings in the future.

A Day of Connection and Growth

The event was designed to foster connections, set clear objectives, and provide valuable development opportunities for the participants.

Key themes of the day included:

• Objective Setting: Participants worked collaboratively to identify and establish clear goals for the Women’s Network, ensuring alignment with both personal and organisational aspirations.
• Networking: The event provided a platform for women from various departments and business units such as Lanes Infrastructure Sapphire Utility Solutions Ltd and Clear-flow Ltd to meet, share experiences, and build meaningful professional relationships.
• Workshops on Mentorship: Interactive sessions focused on the importance of mentorship, highlighting strategies for both finding mentors and being effective mentors themselves.
• Influence and Persuasion (Conflict Management): Workshops offered practical techniques for managing conflicts and influencing outcomes positively within the workplace.

The first "Women at Lanes" event was orchestrated by our dedicated HR Team and spearheaded by the network’s sponsor, our HR Director Danielle Le Breton .

Their leadership and vision were instrumental in creating an environment where participants felt valued and inspired.

Looking ahead, the primary aim of the "Women at Lanes" network is to expand its reach and impact across our 4,000+ strong employee base.

By fostering a supportive community, we hope to provide continuous opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and leadership development for women at all levels of our organisation.
