Inaugural Ross College Foundation Charity & Awards Dinner a Success

The Ross College Foundation and Ross Education held their inaugural fundraising and awards dinner on May 20, at the Hollywood Greektown Casino and Hotel in Detroit, Mich. The event was a success, raising over $25,000 for the Ross College Foundation and honoring Ross staff members with numerous awards.

“The amount of support we were shown was remarkable!” said Shana Brubaker, Executive Director of the Ross College Foundation. “I am so proud to be part of a community that is passionate about helping future caregivers receive higher education.”

The Foundation exists to break down financial barriers for Ross students by providing education grants and financial support. A looming crisis caused by the lack of future caregivers and medical professionals makes this mission more critical than ever.

Sponsors and donors gave generously in their support of the Ross College Foundation. Additional funds were raised via a silent auction, basket raffle and 50/50 drawing. All funds generated by the event will go directly to support Ross students.

Additionally, Ross held its first-ever awards ceremony honoring members of the Ross family chosen by their peers, who have gone above and beyond. Awards included faculty of the year, the voice of reason, employee of the year and more. For a partial recap of winners watch this video.? “There were so many positive comments,” shared Allison McConnell, Senior Vice President of Admissions for Ross. “Everyone's feedback highlights what a fun-filled evening it was. There’s been conversation around the relationships made and how nice it was to connect names with faces. There's already a lot of buzz about next year's event.”
