Inaugural meeting: Executive Development Community (EDC)

Shelley Greenwald (Director, Global Leadership Development at Palo Alto Networks) and Robert David are co-chairing a new organization of Executive, Leadership, and Talent Development Practitioners called the Executive Development Community (EDC).

The inaugural meeting is on Thursday, September 14th and will be held at Palo Alto Networks, Santa Clara, CA.

5:15 - 5:45 Fireside chat (Why Executive Leadership Development is so Critical and often Deprioritized?) with Liane Hornsey, Chief People Officer @ Palo Alto Networks

5:45 - 6:30 Networking (Food, Wine & Beer)

Attendees will be given a copy of Behnam's new book (Going on Offense: A Leader's Playbook for Perpetual Innovation) due to be released at the end of August.?

Speaker Bios:

Dr. Behnam Tabrizi is a renowned transformation expert with over 25 years of teaching experience at Stanford University and its executive programs, where he has won two teachings and prestigious scholarly awards. He has served as a venture capitalist and board member for companies such as Clever Sense, which was acquired by Google, and has consulted for major tech companies such as Apple, Amazon, Intel, Netflix, Tesla, and Microsoft. He has served as the faculty on the Doctoral Program at the Harvard Business School and has advised the US president, the Vatican, and the European Union on digital transformation.

Liane Hornsey joined Palo Alto Networks as Chief People Officer in September 2018. Liane previously served as Chief People Officer at Uber. Prior to that, she served as Chief Administrative Officer and Operating Partner at SoftBank Group International. In this role she traveled the globe helping portfolio companies scale and achieve unsurpassed human capital success. For nearly ten years before joining SoftBank, Liane led People Operations for Google’s Global Business and became Google’s first female Vice President in Human Resources. Liane is widely recognized as one of the world’s pre-eminent practitioners in people operations as well as organization and leadership development.
