Inaugural AA Ireland Car Awards are coming this October
The inaugural?AA Ireland Car Awards?will take place this October. The awards are bringing together Ireland’s foremost motoring journalists from a range of nationally recognised media outlets across print, web and video, to help consumers choose the best new cars.?
AA Ireland has invited the best motoring journalists in Ireland, from the top-selling and most respected media outlets, to vote for what will be, in their view, Ireland’s best cars across a variety of categories, including three electric vehicle categories, which Ohme Car Chargers will sponsor. One overall winner will be awarded the?AA Ireland Car Awards?Overall Winner.?
“AA Ireland is delighted to be inviting some of Ireland’s best motoring journalists from the most well-known and well-read publications to vote on these new awards, which will be a handy tool for consumers making new car choices in the Irish market. The jury on these awards command the biggest audiences and are among the most well-respected within their fields,” said AA Ireland Head of Communications, Paddy Comyn.

The categories for the awards will include; Best City Car, Best Supermini, Best Family Hatchback, Best Large Family Car, Best Small Crossover, Best Medium Crossover, Best Large Crossover, Best Performance Car, Best Compact Executive, Best Large Executive, Best Budget EV, Best Family EV, Best Exec/Luxury EV and the Overall Winner. The main category winners can come from any new car on sale, regardless of when it was released, to give consumers a good view of what the jury views as the best cars on sale in their categories, with the overall winner coming from cars released leading up to the start of the 2022 car market (October 2021 to October 2022).?
