Progress help you make better decisions for future actions. Know whether you are on the right path or not.

But as we move forward on our journey from where we are to where we want to be, we are going to have to confront our fears.

Fear is natural. Whenever we start a new plan, take on a new project, or put ourselves out there, there is usually fear.

Unfortunately, most of us let fear stop them from taking the necessary steps to achieve our dreams.

Do you think about doing something but find excuses not to do them.

Do you want to switch the toxic job that you’re working in?

Do you want to move to a well paid job but tell yourself the market is bad?

Do you want to have a better relationship with friends, family, or colleagues?

Well, If you do not take action. You remain in fear. Fear for being in your current situation for the rest of your life. And fear of attempting all of the above and failing at it.

Professionally or personally, no one likes to fail.

Most of us are adverse to failure that it becomes paralyzing. There's a name for that. . . Atychiphobia – an irrational fear of failure that prevents sufferers from any task or activity that does not guarantee their success – is number 15 on the top 100 phobias list. When we allow fear to prevent progress in life, we miss great opportunities along the way. New research demonstrates that success is determined by how we use the F-word.

Research shows that failure is a necessary ingredient of success. A?study conducted by Northwestern University?analyzed 46 years' worth of venture capital startup investments and found that while not every failure leads to success, failure is a necessary step to success.

In fact, Dashun Wang, who conceived and led the study, said that "trying again and again only works if you learn from your previous failures." Success will not come without failure, and true?learning?will not manifest without recognizing that.

Dr. Melissa Hughes, Director at Give Back, an Author, a TEDx Speaker says

“Irrational fears seem twisted. If fear is irrational, there is no way it should hold so much power over us.

Even when intellectually, we know it’s irrational, our rational mind simply cannot override the fear.

As adults, intellectually we know that mistakes are essential to the learning process, but no one wants to make them let alone embrace them or shine a light on them. The mind is a powerful thing. The way we see ourselves and the stories we tell ourselves can either fuel success or sabotage it. That internal dialogue doesn’t just impact our success; it profoundly influences the goals we set for ourselves.

Fear is said to be the most powerful human emotion because it is triggered in the most primitive part of our brain – the reptilian brain.”

Actions allow you to attempt the things you want?to do in life.

Inaction breeds fear. Fear is like a fever. If you don’t treat it, it will make you more sick.

It causes damage to your body, mind and soul.

“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.” - Eckhart Tolle

Michael Gervais PhD, a high-performance psychologist in a Harvard business review said “Our fear of other people’s opinions, or FOPO as he call its, has become an irrational and unproductive obsession in the modern world, and its negative effects reach far beyond performance.

If we start?paying less and less attention to what makes you?YOU —?your talents, beliefs, and values — and start conforming to what others may or?may not?think, you’ll harm your potential. You’ll start playing it safe because you’re afraid of what will happen on the other side of the critique. You’ll fear being ridiculed or rejected. When challenged, you’ll surrender your viewpoint. You won’t raise your hand when you can’t control the outcome. You won’t go for that promotion because you won’t think you’re qualified.”

He goes on to say” If you find yourself experiencing FOPO, there are ways to?dampen?the intensity of your stress responses.

Once you’re aware of your thoughts, guide yourself toward confidence-building statements

But if you want to be your best while being less fearful of people’s opinions, you need to develop a stronger and much deeper sense of who you are.

So ask yourself WHO AM I? What actions can I take to make my current situation better?

There's a big difference between working on your 'job skills' and working on your 'life skills.'

But both go hand in hand. It’s like fuel needed for an engine to run.

If you do the same things as the 95% of the people out in the market, you will get the same results.

The questions is: Are you ready to take the actions that will get you, the results you want!

All the small actions and habits you build, accumulate and drives you towards success every single day.

You are the driver of your car called LIFE and director, actor, writer and producer of your MOVIE called LIFE. Are you going to be the hero or villain? I can go on! You get the point

If you have a good system, success is inevitable. Instead of focusing on your goals, examine the processes you plan to follow and the actions you will take.

Design a path to success.

Can you be successful without setting goals? Yes, you can, if you design a system ??that only leads to success. ?? But, remember failures are a part of the learning journey!

Choose from the below two statements:

CAN I? or I CAN!

Lee Harris a globally acclaimed Energy Intuitive and Transformation Teacher says” Many of you will be holding abundance away from your lives because you are exhausted by the people you are giving too or you feel you cannot go that extra step.

But the beauty of greater abundance coming to your life means you will not be thinking from this mindset. As abundance impacts your energy field, it changes who you are at an alchemical level.

When your alchemy becomes changed, your human identity follows.

So a more abundant you will not think in the way of the current you. Will not have the same beliefs. Trust that as you step into a more abundant life, you are not letting anybody down that you are currently aligned with. Infact you will be better equipped to give to them resources.

This is an important step for all of you to be aware of.

Say these self-affirming statements to increase your abundance and positive mindset.

I am fully deserving of wonderful abundance and joy in my life.

I receive that abundance now from the universe on all levels now at all levels by taking the necessary actions that will get me there.

I receive that abundance now from the universe in full abundance. For abundance is my divine right as a soul.”

You can sow the seeds of anything you want if you put your heart and soul to take the action steps needed to achieve that satisfaction in life.??

Make the decision to change who you are, to become who you want to and what you want to do. Now. Not tomorrow.??Now.??

Action Steps?for you.

  1. Start small:?You do not need to wait for ideas or inspiration before starting. Big ideas most often come from people who do things, not those who just dream.?
  2. Have a positive mindset: Put your mental energy into making situations better instead of complaining, criticising and whining.?
  3. Forge ahead even amidst challenges: You will encounter challenges but your little wins along the way can motivate you to keep going.?What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
  4. Be courageous: To achieve, you do not need to be braver than other people. You just need to find the strength to continue to take actions that can move you forward.?
  5. Aim for adaptability, not just tenacity: Constantly improve and be more resilient and adaptable to sudden happenings. This will help you sail through challenges easily.?
  6. Ignore the things you have no control over: Do what you can do to change - be your change but don’t try to force everyone else to change.?(Remember the hotdog story)
  7. Let go of your past: Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others but don’t dwell on them.?
  8. Celebrate the success of others instead of resenting them, learn from them: Resentment sucks up a massive amount of mental energy which would have been applied to something beneficial.?
  9. Count your blessings: Be grateful for the things you have. Feeling better about yourself is crucial in recharging your mental batteries.

Beautiful article, Fatima Williams (Assoc. CIPD HR). Yes, action is required in most cases. Inaction can be due to inertia. In some rare cases, a 'conscious inaction', consciously choosing not to act or react is also an action. There are certain situations wherein we don't need to do anything, but just be a witness of the proceedings. ????
