In-Home Care -vs- Nursing Homes
The Ability To Remain In Your Own Home Is One Of The Greatest Benefits Of Owning Long-Term Care Insurance
Most people still mistakenly associate long-term care and long-term care insurance with nursing homes. In fact, just the opposite is true.
According to the LTCi Sourcebook, published by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, some 7.6 million individuals currently receive care at home because of acute illnesses, long-term health conditions, permanent disability or terminal illness. By comparison, there are just over 1.8 million individuals in nursing homes.
If you have a LTC policy and you live in Cherolee, York, Chester or Lancaster counties in South Carolina and think you would benefit from non-medical in-home care, Give me a call at 803-329-0079 (opt. #3), I will be happy to review your policy with you to help you understand what benefits you have with your LTC policy and how we can help you best utilize the benefits you have been paying for.

5 年I think people should be given every opportunity to remain in their own homes wherever possible, and only be considered for nursing home care as a last resort. In my experience, some people's needs are so complex that enabling them to remain in their home with the most extensive, bespoke and individualised care package is the best option and had far better outcomes for them.
