A plush toy manufacturer, renowned for its innovative and high-quality products, recently faced significant challenges in managing internal logistics costs. To optimize the transportation process, the company introduced Reeman AMR robots.

The primary task for the company was to reduce internal transportation costs. The factory, covering an area of 6,000 square meters and employing over 400 workers, used small-capacity, outdated AGV carts for transporting finished products from the production line to the warehouse. These carts appeared chaotic on busy transport routes and frequently caused safety incidents as they could not recognize people or obstacles.

Solution

The Big Dog transport robot is capable of working safely in dynamic environments. Equipped with 3D cameras and single-line LiDAR, it can detect people and machines, stopping or bypassing employees and obstacles. After conducting a market survey, the toy manufacturer chose the Reeman Big Dog transport robot primarily due to its 100 kg and 300 kg load capacities, which perfectly meet their transport needs. Its efficient performance, including autonomous obstacle avoidance, elevator operation, and control of automatic doors, also saves on labor costs.

Implementation Process

Before the project began, we conducted a detailed needs analysis with the company. Based on their requirement for cross-floor material distribution, we equipped them with three AMR transport robots and installed elevator control modules to facilitate automatic elevator usage. Throughout the process, we maintained close communication with the client, ensuring that every step was fully understood and approved.

Results and Benefits

After introducing the transport robots, the company saw a significant increase in production efficiency, with faster transport speeds and shorter production cycles. Labor costs were reduced, and the risk of injuries during the transport process was minimized. This automated solution successfully optimized the toy production process, enhancing the company’s competitiveness and production efficiency.
