Maintenance Supervisor Leadership Principles
Leadership principles are the set of actions or guiding beliefs that leaders can implement to experience success in their roles. A company's performance often relates to how effectively its leaders motivate and guide its employees.
Proactive Maintenance Supervisor Attributes
Attributes is a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something.
Example: Maintenance Supervisor
1. Leads by Example
2. Begin the day with the end in mind
3. Walks the floor to identify any issues which may possibly cause problems during their shift.
4. Keep a positive attitude (sometimes hard to do)
5. Solve problems as a team
6. Measures what they manage
7. Follows roles and responsibilities
8. Listens to Maintenance Technicians if they have a problem
9. Coaches the Maintenance Team
10. Provides weekly Single Point Lesson to his/her crew to advance their knowledge and skill, 30 minutes Max.
Once a Week a Maintenance Team meeting is held, 15 minutes max.
The Maintenance Supervisor reviews 2 Things the maintenance crew is doing well and 2 Things the team needs to improve on based on the Maintenance Crew Dashboard. Lastly ask if anyone had any issue that need to be discussed. (It is all about the TEAM)

Investing in training to enhance supervisors' skill sets is a valuable opportunity.
