Improve your impact in 2023
Blended starts 2023 with positive news for training companies, associations & sector bodies and a schedule of webinars to help trainers launch new courses faster.
Research
This year we focus our attention on Training Impact. Inmisceo plans to initiate and sponsor research on Training Impact and is looking for help from our readers. Whether you work for a training provider, association or sector body, help us quantify what training impact means for different customers.
An example of UK government sponsored research showed that at industry level 1% increase of training intensity, excluding H&S and induction training, increases productivity by about 0.74%. That same report could not prove impact at firm level though. Inmisceo will collect impact data of projects at firm level to increase the body of evidence. Interested? Contact Jan van Delsen for more details. Here is the link to the report.
Practical tip
To help training providers design and create their courses in a blended format, Inmisceo partnered with Karlie O'Hara from CreateLX. The result is “Blended Templates”. A document to show you how to design and create blended courses. On Tuesday 17 January you can join the 45-minute webinar at 12pm that discusses the concepts and how you can do this yourself in practice. Register here

Industry news
For The Oxford Strategy Challenge (TOSCA) two teams of undergraduate and post-graduate students from University of Oxford mapped the UK training provider market for Inmisceo. This project provided a lot of incredibly valuable data on the size of the market, geographical spread, industry focus and training delivery strategy. Below is a graph that shows how blended delivery is still behind the rest. The good news is that the data also shows the rise of blended is accelerating. Training companies report higher customer satisfaction, lower cost of delivery and increased profitability with blended. Paul Higgins has more details for you
Decision making based on financial metrics too often is a black box for training providers and L&D professionals alike. aNewSpring published an interview with Ajay Pangarkar by Ger Driesen, addressing just that.
