Confinement has forced us to work from home, and to manage our time more differently so that we don’t feel that we live at work or that we’ve brought our home to the office.
I’ll give you some of my tips and tricks shared during the previous testers virtual coffee, on how I’m managing my time and what I'm doing to make the best out of this situation so that my days are more productive.
It's even an opportunity that goes beyond regular work to learn new things outside my normal schedule as we have more time when working from home.
Direct your focus
I tried to avoid multitasking it was my bad habit, specially when having completely independent tasks, and visual management helped me a lot with post-it on different things I want to learn or my tasks at work.
I did my BBST certification last month combined with leadership online class. It was very challenging but I don't think I could find all this amount of time outside lockdown period.
Try to focus on one thing at same time
Use different places
I Change the workplace to distinguish between work and personal achievements to keep my mind fresh and avoid the feeling that I’m always working.
Change your ideas, but keep your focus
Eat healthy food
Third thing, that brings me more concentration even if I sleep less than usual with all my challenges is eating lots of fruits with vitamin C.

Connect your "Spirit-Mind-Body"

Meditation is like a gym in which you develop the powerful mental muscles of calm and insight. – Ajahn Brahm
Extend your vocabulary
Last thing that I want to share is building new vocabulary. Indeed A rich vocabulary has a way of making you sound smart !
The more words you know the more clearly and powerfully you will think . . . and the more ideas you will invite into your mind. — Wilfred Funk
Research shows that many more regions of the brain are involved in vocabulary tasks, particularly in areas that are important for visual and auditory processing. To test this in a funny way, try this activity:
- Keep a notebook with you when you read
- Write down one unfamiliar word, then look up the definition
- Try to use that word the next day
