Improve your decision-making with this A-Team trick

Who's making your business decisions for you?
Strange question, right? :)
On the surface, maybe... but it's an important one.
To be more specific, what I actually want to know is:
Who,?within you, is making your decisions for you?
LOL... I know - my questions are getting stranger by the minute. ;) Hear me out…
As a business leader, you're constantly making decisions.
And as your business grows, those decisions will only get tougher, more urgent, and more consequential.
As the stakes get higher, you may find yourself avoiding, delaying, or second-guessing your decisions.
?? Perhaps you're overly relying on logic, getting stuck trying to find the perfect solution amongst the many options and opinions around you…
?? Maybe your heart’s just not in it, but you don’t feel like you have a choice…
?? Or you're questioning your intuition after a recent decision that didn’t go how you wanted…
It's natural to feel this way. Natural, but not necessary… nor helpful!
Your business needs you on top form - clear headed, confident and decisive - to grow and create the results that you want.?
A common root cause of your hesitant decision-making is overly relying on one part of your inner A-Team.?
Imagine this:
You have access to an A-Team of 3 business experts each with their unique perspective, skillset, and experience - a CFO, COO, and CMO.?
Would you ever consistently divert all decisions to just one expert? No! So why are you doing this with your decision-making?

Similarly, you have an?inner?A-Team made up of your head, heart, and gut - Logic, Emotion. Intuition.
Based on your unique background, experiences, and belief system, you likely default to one of your inner A-Team when making decisions.?
In situations of high stress and pressure, (e.g. tougher, more urgent, more consequential decisions) this default only gets?stronger.?
After all, it is where you’re most comfortable.?
However, by excluding the other parts of your inner A-Team, you’re missing vital data and knowledge that will help you make the best business decision possible, just like if you were to only ever listen to your COO and ignore the rest of your external A-Team.?
What if, instead of relying on one part of you, you learnt how to use your Inner A-Team of head, heart, and gut in decision-making?
What might this look like?...
? Instead of defaulting to:?
"My emotions are getting in the way. Decision-making is all about mental prowess and being 100% objective, focusing on analysis and logic."
?? Recognise that:?
"My emotions are part of who I am and can serve as a data point. I am most effective at decision-making when I consciously align my head, heart and gut."
Need help on how to use your Inner A-Team in critical business decision-making??
?? Shoot me a message so I can share more.
Warmest regards,
Yewande

1 年Loving that reframe from 'My emotions getting in the way' to 'My emotions are part of who I am and can serve as a data point' I so often find that when my emotions are running high, there's a deeper reason behind it.

1 年Such an essential Q!! As I continue growing, expanding, and elevating, I can see where I’ve made powerful choices, where my ego stepped in, and where I literally had to lay down to regulate in order to make trusting decisions from my inner knowing.
