Improve Oil Recovery Through Water Injection Optimisation and Management

Oilfields that are reaching the end of their life span require some adjustments and more maintenance. The application of water injection (WI) could help to enhance oil recovery while optimising operating costs. The injected water adds more pressure to reservoirs and helps to displace the remaining oil from the reservoir to production wells, for it to be recovered.

Application of digital technologies together with critical skill sets required for WI are crucial to ensure effective and cost saving outcomes for better overall performance. With tremendous experiences from oil and gas companies in managing WI fields, it is an opportune time for the industry to come together and share challenges and approaches to achieve ‘best in class’ operator status.

Join experts from EnQuest, Brunei Shell Petroleum, Halliburton, PETRONAS, Repsol Oil and Gas Malaysia Limited, Schlumberger, Woodside Energy Ltd and many more at the SPE Virtual Workshop: Integrated Water Injection Management from 6–8 July 2021 to learn more about this topic. This 2-day workshop will harness decades of experience to maximise recovery through water injection in a cost-effective manner, where key enablers include digital, technology, and capability development.
