An impressive young doctor on YouTube!

She is very inspiring with her work and the way she narrates her days on her YouTube channel. I enjoy watching her videos. I stumbled on this video in particular earlier this week and couldn’t help watching it the whole way through.

It made me realise that even professional doctors like Siobhan have phones with messy apps that must be sending notifications every few minutes. How can a doctor handle gazillion of notifications when they’re having a busy day or assisting an emergency?

Just look at the number of apps she has! Scrolling through pages and folders, waiting for apps to load is hardly practical, especially when you’re working in a busy hospital.

And let’s not forget that Smartphone have notoriously bad battery life – I can just imagine how much battery is drained by having multiple medical apps open at the same time.

In a sense, I can see the adaptation of technology in their life by young doctors. Using mobile apps to not only give accurate diagnoses but give better patient care is FANTASTIC. Well done Siobhan :)

I feel strongly feel that this technology can be greatly improved and tailored to suit the busy life of doctors and healthcare workers.  Our doctors and nurses need instant access to communication, reliable, useful medical information in just a few taps. In one place, in one app, right at their fingertips.

I feel this is good problem to solve and it will benefit many down the line.

LIKE this post to show support for our hardworking doctors and nurses! Comment your thoughts below too. Maybe we should build something that doctors would love to use and help ease their busy work lives. What do you think? Any suggestions?
