Make Friends with Imposter Syndrome

Make Friends with Imposter Syndrome

You're not alone.

Imposter Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon where people who are successful believe that they have faked their success and will be exposed as frauds ??

It is extremely common among high-achieving people - and it can be VERY DEBILITATING.

Imposter syndrome can hold you back from doing the things that will grow your business (like creating more videos???).

A few years ago I learned a technique for managing this syndrome in a way that actually works! It's very different from any other method I ever heard, and it has allowed me to show up in ways that I never dreamed of. (It's the same technique I used to get through cancer treatments and surgeries and sickness with positivity and humor.)

In this episode, I share how to approach imposter syndrome so that you can continue to grow as a leader and make a difference for your business, your life, and your clients - while feeling more self-confident and positive!

The most important mindset to embrace is that Imposter Syndrome is not your enemy. It is not here to hurt you.

The more you fight it, the stronger it becomes. But as soon as you start treating Imposter Syndrome as your?friend, it loses power.

Did your Imposter voice just whisper: "You're not as experienced as other people"? Great! No need to fight that.?It's true!?There ARE other people who have more experience.?

Your Imposter voice is just reminding you how important this is to you. You want to work on it. You want to keep getting better.

Thank the voice for supporting you.

And then go be the leader that you were meant to be.

Watch the video to hear about how I use this?method to continue to show up and shine.

Then... go SHINE!

"This Little Light of Mine" helped to PLANT the seeds all the way back in GEM, Indiana around 1962!!! WHO COULD TELL that those seeds would GERMINATE and FLOURISH in this fertile Hoosier Soil to help me raise the entire Hooser INCLUSIVE, COMPREHENSIVE, Grassroots to Global Trauma System!?! especially when I was told to my FACE at age sixteen "You can't be a VET" (lifelong dream) "You're a GIRL!!!" (implied statement from EXPERT to CHILD.... GO HOME.... make babies.... stay in your own silo..... work within YOUR guidelines.... mind your OWN business...... well, brothers and sisters..... as the late great Charles Dickens said "MANKIND WAS MY BUSINESS" oh... and HOW MANY HOURS does one NEED to practice to become expert in their "sport" or "field"??? 100,000 hours I have read??? SO GO THEE AND TAKE YOUR CANDLE AND LIGHT THIS WEARY WORLD FOLKS!!!!

The 'Imposter Syndrome' is a constant challenges for many of us. The inner awareness of our magnificence is often stymied by the perception that we're anything less than a BEing with potential to change our lives and the world through our activity. I had an early bout with being given marching orders at 18, then being asked to step into shoes I wasn't sure I could fill. Whether I am or not, I'm making the effort to discover the way, do what is in front of me to do and help others ignite their inspired activity. Thanks for this, Nika Stewart.
