Important UK Data Released This Week
GBP:?This is a significant week for UK data, with employment and CPI reports set to be released. Our UK economist, James Smith, has a slightly dovish outlook, expecting both employment figures and services CPI to come in slightly below market expectations. As for the Bank of England's easing cycle, there has been little communication from official speakers, and none are scheduled over the next two weeks. At the upcoming Jackson Hole symposium, former deputy governor Ben Broadbent might represent the BoE.
EUR: The eurozone has a quiet data calendar this week, with no scheduled European Central Bank speakers. The market's attention will likely focus on the first revision of second-quarter eurozone GDP data, expected to show 0.3% growth quarter-on-quarter.?
USD:?In the US, the market could see volatility at the end of the week as major data releases, including Inflation and Retail Sales, begin on Wednesday. If inflation shows signs of improvement, the likelihood of interest rate cuts of up to 100 basis points will be further solidified.
