An important read...

When you get ill, wouldn’t you want the best treatments first??

?In a value-based healthcare (VBHC) model, the healthcare industry’s focus moves from costs to value for patients. That means providing the most effective treatments first, rather than the cheapest. And if patients are getting better sooner, long-term healthcare benefits too, with costs decreasing long-term as patients stay healthy.

?It’s a change we need to start embracing. In the long run, it will benefit everyone, from patients to providers to payers to society as a whole. My colleague?Jenn Lee?has written an?article?talking about the virtues of VBHC, and how it could change the face of healthcare.?It is worth a read!
