The Important Path to Giving Zero F**ks

We need to talk about dropping our facade.
It's human nature to want to be the best version of ourselves. But have you ever stopped and thought, "am I trying to better myself, or am I crafting an unrealistic version of myself?"
There is a difference between personal growth and presenting yourself inauthentically.
I know I have caught myself building a facade masquerading as "the best me." But I quickly realized that "the best me" was only the me I thought other people wanted to see. Sometimes we unknowingly cloak ourselves in an image to feel more successful, only to satisfy those around us.
All this really does is apply unnecessary pressure to meet standards we don't care about.
Facades come in all shapes and sizes: clothing, communication, and what we put into the online world. But at the root of all of it, it comes down to overthinking how we want others to see us.
I believe things can really start clicking when we remove the facade and embrace our authentic selves, but how?
This process does not have to be rocket science.
It takes intention and reflection, as well as brutal honesty. Basically, you need to come to terms with where you feel comfortable in your skin.
Pause, ponder, and accept the conclusions you come to. You know you already have the solution within you, but you need time to uncover it. Call it meditation, alone time, or therapy, but the important part is you are taking the time for critical contemplation.
In my case, I knew that I needed help to understand and untangle myself.
I think you will find that sharing pain and suffering is essential to getting to a resolution.
We all want to achieve greatness overnight, but let's be real. Every overnight success has years of planning and action leading up to it.
If you start today, you are that much closer tomorrow.
