Important Guidelines For NEET Exam Day

When an exam is carried out on such a colossal scale, it is crucial for students to receive the right coordination and instruction so that the student can deliver with smoothness. For this, there are certain instructions that have tobe followed on the day of NEET exam.

The NTA has specified certain do’s and don'ts on their website so that the exam can be conducted easily. These instructions have to be duly followed and also, they assist the students in the exam hall too, to avoid any disruption.?

Exam day guidelines for NEET exams cover the following important aspects:

  • Timeline – A look at the sequence of exam events and when they are supposed to happen on the day of the exam.?
  • Marking scheme and exam pattern
  • Dress conduct.
  • Items that cannot be brought inside the exam hall premises.?

NEET Exam: Timeline

The candidate must be well aware of the set of events that will happen on the NEET exam day, and should also remember the correct order. This will help the students to align with the instruction easily and the exam can be conducted smoothly. The students are suggested to be present at the venue of the exam at least 45 minutes prior the exam time so that they can avoid any confusion.?


NEET Exam Day:Dress Code


NEET 2022 will see more than 15 million students appearing for the exam. Since the seats are limited, some students use Unfair means to get better scores. To stop those, the NTA has precisely put out a dress code that can help pick such people out.?


To catch such people and stop such activities. The NTA has specified a dress code for all the candidates of the exam. The candidates are expected to follow these rules and failing them would lead to severe repercussions.?

NEET Dress code for males:

  • T-shirts/ Full sleeves shirts are not permitted
  • Clothes cannot have Zips,big buttons, layers etc.
  • simple pants/shirts are appreciated.?
  • Kurtas and pyjamas can be avoided
  • Avoid any layer that you?
  • You can opt for slippers & Sandals
  • Footwear can be simple. Shoes and boots or any covered footwear is not permitted.

NEET Dress code for females:

  • Embroidery can be avoided.
  • Half-sleeve Kurtis/shirts can be worn
  • Fancy & long sleeves of any design can be avoided.
  • Jewellery shall be avoided,?both metallic and non-metallic
  • Slippers or open sandals are appreciated.
  • Fancy footwear should be avoided in the exam hall. Avoid boots, heels, stilettos, shoes


Candidates who cannot follow these rules due to their religious commitments shall mention the same in their NEET filling form under the option of customary dress. All such candidates are required to report an hour before the exam begins so that they can go through the security properly.?


Barred Items

The candidates cannot bring the following itrsm in the exam hall:

Candidates are forbidden from carrying these set of items on the exam day in the hall

Stationary: pencils, pencil boxes, pens etc are not allowed inside the premises of the exam hall.?

Mobile devices like pen drives, electronic pens etc are barred.?

Health bands, related accessories, microphones etc are not allowed.?

Edibles. Packed or open, are barred.?
