Dear Students,

As you all must be aware that yesterday at Awantipora, Pulwama in Kashmir, 44 CRPF Jawans were martyred in a cowardly terrorist attack by a Pakistan sponsored terror group. 

In this time of grief, we need to stand in solidarity with our Bravehearts and their families, because of whom we breathe the air of freedom. It is not the time to celebrate or enjoy, "our often taken for granted" freedom, but to stand shoulder to shoulder with the families that have "lost their all, to protect our all". 

Friends, we are not in the armed forces that we can directly take revenge of the mass massacre of our Jawans. Then we need to ask ourselves - what can we do? How can we contribute to our nation's security? Friends, I think we all can. We can all contribute in our own way by making our nation economically stronger. We can work so hard in our individual fields and capacity that the national economy grows and we as a nation become financially and technologically so strong that we can buy, develop and manufacture the best equipments for our defense forces. We will become so strong that no evil force can dare look us in the eye or challenge us in any way.

We cannot be merry making while the families of those who have been martyred mourn. The whole nation mourns today and so as we all. Keeping the sentiments of My Nation, My Team and Myself - and I am sure of you all also - in mind, I hereby cancel tomorrow's annual picnic and postpone it for better times. 

The money paid for the picnic shall be refunded to you in full. Please collect the same from the front office.
